~ Meet the GEMINI ~ Betty White
What are your sun/moon/rising astrological placements?
I am mildly embarrassed to admit I didn't know the answer to this until right now. I am such a Gemini that I always assumed I was a triple Gemini. The truth is, I'm a Gemini sun, Scorpio rising, Virgo moon, and now I need to learn what that all means for me.
How do you feel your signs have an influence over your work?
I am a full-time, stay at home mom to 3, but also tutor high-schoolers on the college application & financial aid processes, create and design dollhouses & miniatures, and have a variety of community and school responsibilities (and I think I might be entering my gardening era). My attention and time is so scattered, and I definitely thrive on that sort of chaos. With the help of a lot of coffee, I am energetic and quick on my feet (except of course when I'm off, I'm really off).
Tell us about a favorite scent memory.
There is a strip of road on the way to my family's beach house where you can first smell the ocean. Driving down that stretch with the windows down instantly centers me and makes me feel eager and excited. But also, anything with that plumeria scent brings me right back to the mall and my Bath and Body Works buying days. (And Weathervane, remember Weathervane?)
What color are you really vibing with lately?
I am really pulled towards color combinations, so can't pick one! I have been into coral/periwinkle, and dusty rose/dark green lately.
What’s something interesting that you’ve read, watched, or listened to recently?
I love smut and gossip, I am currently listening to Scamanda and watching Queen Charlotte.
Do you have any magical rituals or special ways you like to unwind in your space?
I take a bubble bath every night! It is the purest form of self care for me. I have always desperately wanted to be a mom, but having little kids makes me just as desperate for silent time to myself. I consider myself to be pretty extroverted, but I also burn out rather quickly and need that quiet time to recenter and reset.
What’s something exciting you’re looking forward to this year?
I recently had my third baby and am finally finding my feet again. I am excited to be back in a place of balance and rhythm; I really love spreading myself *just* thin enough and trying to keep all the balls in the air. I am just excited to be in a groove, while being present for my kids and having the opportunity to watch them become cool little people!
